Mr Ng was appointed Chairman of ETC in 2019, overseeing the broad strategic direction and governance of the company. He serves in many public and civic institutions, including:

• Chairman of Tat Hong Equipment Service Co. Ltd (HKEx-listed)
• Vice Chairman of the China & North Asia Business Group (CNABG) of Singapore Business Federation
• Board Director of Yongmao Holdings Limited and CSC Holdings Limited (SGX-listed)
Mr Ng was the President of the 59th and 60th Councils of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) from 2017 to 2022. In 2023, he received the Business China Excellence Award for his exceptional contributions to Singapore-China relations.
He has been honoured with the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2002, Public Service Star (BBM) in 2010 and Public Service Star (Bar) BBM(L) in 2020 for his significant public service in Singapore.
Edmund Tie co-founded Edmund Tie & Company in 1995 with 12 partners. He led the business’s global integration with DTZ Holdings PLC in 2000, expanding in Southeast Asia with a staff strength of 500.
In 2016, Mr Tie spearheaded a management buyout from DTZ International, relaunching the firm as Edmund Tie & Company (SEA) Pte Ltd. This strategic move reflected the management’s commitment to an Asian business philosophy with international standards of expertise.
While he is no longer actively involved in the business, Mr Tie continues to contribute as an Honorary Advisor, offering his invaluable guidance and support.
Mr Tie’s tenure as the Community Chest’s vice-chairman from 1996 to 2013 and his dedication to charity work earned him several commendations:

With more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, Desmond has excelled in multi-disciplinary roles including research and consulting, valuation, fund management and business development. A respected spokesperson, he is frequently approached by the media to share his insights on a wide range of real estate topics. Private developers, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds and government bodies also regularly tap on Desmond’s expertise for advice. His dedication to retail advisory in particular and industry leadership led to his appointment as a subject matter expert on the Fair Tenancy Pro Tem Committee.
With experience spanning investment banking, private equity and real estate, Christopher brings wide-ranging skillsets to his role as the firm’s Executive Director – Corporate Development. Previously as an investment banker, he was involved in advisory transactions including IPOs, M&As and IFAs across diverse sectors, collaborating with corporates, private equity clients and listed companies
Peggy oversees the finance teams across ETC’s 3 offices in Southeast Asia – Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. With over 30 years of experience in finance, she has held roles such as auditor at KPMG, financial analyst at Citibank, and PSA. Peggy was instrumental in establishing EDMUND TIE in the region and ensures robust cash flow management and internal control safeguards.
Nicholas is a member of ETC’s Executive Committee, overseeing the firm’s growth, providing strategic insight, planning, and guidance. He also serves as the key executive officer, managing the administration and overall operations of the firm’s real estate brokers.
As an experienced valuer, Nicholas handles all types of valuation, including asset valuation, valuation for sale and purchase, public flotation, takeover bids, and mortgage valuation for financing purposes. His deep expertise and authoritative knowledge have led him to appear as an expert witness in court.
Wei Lin oversees the development and management of the firm’s brokerage function in business and retail space for Singapore and Malaysia. A strategic forward thinker, she has been instrumental in leading her team in securing members of the Big Tech as part of the team’s leasing track records. Wei Lin has also expanded her team’s capabilities in providing occupiers diagnostic advice that help them navigate through new ways of working and business while creating business-proof real estate solutions to meet their business requirements.
A 40-year veteran, Kwee Eng has established a strong foothold in the real estate services industry as a trusted valuer across all types of valuation.
She has also been an appointed assessor to the Appeals Board (Land Acquisition) Singapore since 2010.
S K has overseen the growth of the firm’s property management business to its current portfolio of more than 60 properties in Singapore spanning across more than 11 million sq ft. His property management expertise spans across different property types – including office, industrial, residential and mixed development projects. His track record includes the management of a large portfolio comprising more than 500 black and white houses for the Singapore Land Authority.
A seasoned property auctioneer, Joy has assisted numerous clients in the disposal and restructuring of their property portfolios via auction, private treaty sale and/or tender sale. In addition to individual property owners, Joy has also developed a robust and extensive business network with government agencies and corporate entities such as banks and financial institutions, as well as high net worth individuals.
Shou Fern has a proven track record in marketing properties across diverse sectors including residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality assets. Having handled some of Singapore’s landmark real estate transactions over the past two decades, Shou Fern’s expertise lies in her ability to identify the highest and best use potential of real estate; hence, assisting her clients to realise the maximum return on investment. She also provides advisory services to clients on cross-border investment, connecting both local and overseas investors with opportunities in Singapore and major gateway cities such as London.
Poh Chue is a seasoned real estate appraiser, who has accrued through the years an impressive track record in providing valuation services on different property types and portfolios, spanning across China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Given her focus on statutory valuation, Poh Chue has represented numerous major property owners in reviews and negotiations with government valuers on property tax assessments, claims for compensation in compulsory land acquisition and differential premium/land betterment charges.
Poh Chue is also regularly approached for her expert opinion on appeals for compensation award made by the government under the Land Acquisition Act for the compulsory acquisition of land.
Providing essential valuation services for both private and public companies, Alden’s area of expertise spans across asset valuation for sale and purchase, tax purposes, collective sale purposes, public flotation and mortgage valuation for financing purposes. He is uniquely involved in the life cycle for numerous clients’ property portfolios, providing his valued insights and services at every stage. Jaqueline is into her tenth year in the real estate industry, through which she has amassed a wealth of experience in managing different real estate types – including retail, commercial, shophouses (inclusive of conservation shophouses) and industrial.
